The 10 Commandments For A Love Relationship
Focus On The Family (Part 2)
1 Pet 3:7-10

1. Be Considerate
“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, …” ~1 Pet 3:7a
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” ~Eph 5:25 (NIV)

2. Treat Them With Respect
“… and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” ~1 Peter 3:7b (NIV)
“Be faithful to your own wife and give your love to her alone. Children that you have by other women will do you no good. …”
~Prov 5:15-20 (TEV)

3. Be a Good Person To Live With
8 “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”
~1 Peter 3:8-10 (NIV)

4. Give Praise and Don’t Criticize
"Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.” ~1 Peter 3:9 (NIV)

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” ~Prov 16:24 (NIV)

“Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.” ~Prov 13:3 (NLT)

5. Give A Listening Ear
“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.”
~James 1:19 (NLT)

The 10 Commandements for a Love Relationship

The 10 COMMANDMENTS FOR A LOVE RELATIONSHIP

Focus on the family (Part 1)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Five Commandments for Ladies

1. Give Up Your Dream for a perfect marriage.

Abraham almost betrayed his wife

12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, 'This is his wife.' Then they will kill me but will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you."

~Gen 12:12-13 (NIV)

2. Give up Trying To change the Other Person

Criticism or Attack will never work

“the Lord God formed the mane from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. … Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, …” ~Gen 2:7,22 (NIV)

3. Give praise and affection

Show to your man that you value him and respect him.

Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” ~Eph 4:29 (NLT)

4. Do Things he likes to do

Be your man’s best friend

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. … Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? ~Eccl 4:9,11 (NLT)

5. Provide a peaceful place

Your home is stress-reducing or stress producing?

“Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting—and conflict.” ~Prov 17:1 (NLT)

“Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife.” ~Prov 21:19 (NIV)
