News Update

It was double happiness for Rev. Timothy Wong, our missionary in Kyrgyzstan Firstly, his marriage to Mimoza on 8th May 2010 and secondly, his ordination to Reverend on the 9th May 2010.

Timothy and Mimosa were married in BCCM Telipok. The wedding ceremony was well attended by relatives, church friends and colleagues both from the BCCM and also Interserve Malaysia, a missionary sending organization of which Rev. Timothy was attached to.

Bishop Dr. Thomas Tsen shared a very animated message about the biblical teaching on husband and wife submitting to each other for the reverence of Christ. Laughter and happiness filled the air.

Mimoza is a Kyrgyz. She speaks English, Russian and her local dialect. She comes from a big family of ten siblings. She met Rev. Timothy in a seminar. On her wedding day she is 35 years old and Rev. Timothy is 42 years old. We wish this young couple a blessed life together as husband and wife and servants of God in the mission field.

After marriage Rev. Timothy and Mimoza will return to Kyrgyzstan to continue their missionary work. Another family wedding reception will be held in their home village clothed in their cultural costumes.

Back in Kyrgyzstan, Rev. Timothy will be teaching in a Bible school and conducting courses for theological education by extension whereas his wife will work among the children. May the Lord keep them safe in his service.
