Ordination News

The Pastors Ordination Service was held in BCCM Sepangar on 8th May 2010 at 2:00pm. It is our prayer that those who are ordained as Pastors and Reverends will continue to serve the Lord as faithful shepherds over God’s church. The only English pastor being ordained as Reverend was Rev. Timothy Wong.

Rev. Timothy Wong graduated from Singapore Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1994 and then a Master of Divinity degree in 1998. He had served in BCCM Ranau and BCCM Labuan. He went to Kyrgyzstan as a missionary in September 2006.

Yoa Ye Jiun was ordained as a Pastor. She is a Tenom girl and grew up in a musical family. She studied in Sabah Theological Seminary (STS) for four years from 2002-2006 and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree. Her first posting is to Sandakan and she has been serving in the BCCM Sandakan Chinese and overseeing the work in Indah Mission Centre. Since the retirement of Rev. Tsen, she has been the overall in charge of the Sandakan Chinese church and the Indah Mission Centre.

Pastor Yoa is a very musical person. She plays the keyboard and composes many songs. She is also very creative in graphic designs. Her passion is to work in the children and youth ministry. However her posting to Sandakan does not allow her to specialize in this ministry as the pastoral need is greater in both the congregations she serves. She has tried hard and is well loved by many members of the church. Although she is young she mixes well with people of all ages in the church.
