Living the Abundant Life (3)
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”
~Prov 4:23 (TEV)
3 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” ~2 Cor 10:3-5 (NIV)
1. Don’t be fooled by your THOUGHTS.
"Who can understand the human heart? There is nothing else so deceitful;
it is too sick to be healed.” ~Jeremiah 17:9 (TEV)
2. Guard your mind against TRASH.
“wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash.”
~Prov 15:14 (NLT)
6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ~Phil 4:6-7 (NIV)
3. Never stop LEARNING.
“Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.” ~Prov 18:15 (NLT)
Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.
~Prov 10:14 (NIV)
4. Renew your mind with GOD'S WORD daily.
“Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
~Rom 12:2 (NIV)
5. Let God stretch you IMAGINATION.
"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” ~Acts 2:17 (NIV)
