Welcome everyone to God’s house. Today is Sunday School Sunday. We are thankful to God for all our Sunday School teachers. May God bless you all. It is indeed a pleasure that we can come here to worship God. May God’s word enrich and transform your lives.
2. CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING
The church council will meet today at Wisma Charis conference room, 11:30am. All the present church council members and the new 2010-2011 church council members, please be present.
3. FUND RAISING CONCERT FOR SABAH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY’S MULTI-PURPOSE EDUCATION CENTRE
A fund raising concert ,“Church Music In Perspective”, organized by the Association For Members Of Chinese Church Music Sabah will be held on 17th October 2009, 7:30pm at BCCM Sandakan. Our English and Chinese congregations combined choir, BCCM Sing Kang choir, BCCM Tawau choir and BCCM Sandakan (BM) tambourine group will be involved in this concert. Tickets, priced at RM1,000.00, RM500.00, RM100,00 RM50.00 and RM20.00 are on sale. You can buy the tickets from our choir members, Preacher Lo, Preacher Yoa or at the counter in front of the church. Please refer to the poster in front of the church for further information.
4. CHURCH FELLOWSHIPS BIBLE QUIZ
Books : Old Testament - Nehemiah
New Testament - James
Date : 24th October 2009 (Saturday) Time : 7:30pm
Venue : Wisma Basel
Brothers and sisters are encouraged to read the two books and be prepared to participate in the Bible Quiz.
5. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Church Welfare Committee will give Academic Excellence Award to children of our congregations (English, Chinese & Indah) studying in kindergarten, primary & secondary school. The qualifying academic standard will be based on last year’s (2008) results. Details are posted at the entrance of the church and are also attached to the application form. Application forms are available from the Enquiries table. Please hand in completed application form to Rev. James Wong by 25 October 2009.

7. TESTIMONY SHARING BY PREACHER CHUNG SU MING
There will be a testimony sharing by Pr. Chung Su Ming as follows:

Theme: Love Can Make Up For The Breach Of life
Pr. Chung Su Ming, a Taiwanese, is married, with a daughter Hui Xin who is born with congenital brain damage and is physically handicapped in many ways, including eyes and nose which are not properly formed, vertebral column curved to one side, legs not of the same length, defect in the left ear and defects in the teeth and jaw bones. For 23 years, Hui Xin’s severe handicap has taught Pr. Chung wonderful lessons on life. Pr. Chung and her daughter have been to Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor etc. and have shared in a total of 34 Meetings and 3 Talks, which stirred up a lot of positive responses from the public and churches in West Malaysia.
8. SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ TRAINING
There will be a Sunday school teachers’ training on 10th October 2009, 2 - 5pm at BCCM Sibuga, to be conducted by Pr. Chung Su Ming. Sunday School teachers are encouraged to join this training. The fee for this training is RM5. Please register with sis. Yap Pak Shun.
