1. Words of Welcome
Welcome everyone to God’s house. We thank Rev. Datuk Dr. Thu for sharing God’s word with us this morning. May we extend our warm wishes to all the lecturers, staffs and students of Sabah Theological Seminary.
2. VISITATION BY ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH
A group of brothers and sisters from St. Mark Lutheran Church will be visiting our church on 28 October (Wednesday). Our church will host a dinner for them on 28 October, 7pm. Brothers and sisters are welcome to join the dinner and the fellowship after dinner. Please pay RM15 per person to brother Wong Vui Min.
3. CHURCH PLANTING AT KAMPUNG GUM-GUM BY BM CONGREGATION
BCCM Sandakan BM Congregation is planting a new church in Kampung Gum-Gum , mile 16. This coming Saturday, 24 October , 4pm. There will be a ground breaking ceremony. We extend our congratulation to our BM congregation.
4. CHURCH FELLOWSHIPS BIBLE QUIZ
Books : Old Testament - Nehemiah
New Testament - James
Date : 24th October 2009 (Saturday) Time : 7:30pm
Venue : Wisma Basel
Brothers and sisters are encouraged to read the two books and be prepared to participate in the Bible Quiz.
5. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Church Welfare Committee will give Academic Excellence Award to children of our congregations (English, Chinese & Indah) studying in kindergarten, primary & secondary school. The qualifying academic standard will be based on last year’s (2008) results. Details are posted at the entrance of the church and are also attached to the application form. Application forms are available from the Enquiries table. Please hand in completed application form to Rev. James Wong by 25 October 2009.
6. OBITUARY
BCCM retired pastor Rev. Kung Cheng Man was called home to be with the Lord for eternal rest on 12th October (Monday) in Kota Kinabalu at the age of 86 years. His funeral service was conducted on 16th October (Friday) and was buried at the cemetery of BCCM Menggatal. May the Lord comfort his family members.
